Wanteds — Concept B: Clear Local

Clear Local

A calm, efficient everyday tool. One typeface, a cool teal and generous structure put listings first — closer to a good public-service app than enterprise software.

Proposed tagline (not approved copy): “Find what's offered and wanted near you.”

Logo

Wanteds

Horizontal lockup · symbol at 64/32/16px (favicon) · monochrome on light and dark. Exploratory, not trademark-cleared; the wordmark is set in the heading font and would be outlined for final artwork.

Typography

Heading · Public Sans (600–700)

Surplus apples, borrowed ladders

Body · Public Sans (400–500)

Make local needs and capabilities visible, so people can decide for themselves what they can make possible together. 0123456789 £12/hr

Fallbacks: system-ui, Segoe UI, Roboto. Source & licence: Google Fonts / USWDS, SIL Open Font License 1.1 (not independently audited).

Search listings

Missing-image state uses type colour + category

Navigation, listing cards, filters and the registration gate are live in the prototype below.

Strengths and trade-offs

Highest scanning speed; scales well to dense list and map views
Single font family = fastest load and simplest Drupal theme
Neutral enough for any community, urban or rural

Least memorable; relies on the logo to carry personality
Risk of feeling 'official' if copy turns formal
Wanted purple must stay paired with the word — it is not an alert

Mobile browse (live, 390px)

Mobile has its own bottom navigation, a central “Add” action, a collapsible filter panel and touch targets of at least 40–44px. Try the search, the Filters button and saving a listing. Open full-screen.
